I like older S&W's. Bought two recently: a 625-3 3" .45 ACP and a 3" 13-4 .357 magnum.

This was close to $1,200.

This was less than $800

I’ve been planning/stashing money for a sporting clays gun. Too many threads like this and I just might have to keep using my duck and bird guns for clays.

I have this early 1970s Pinned and Recessed Model 19 .357 Magnum. It has the target trigger, target hammer and target stocks.

Haven't figured out where to price it, but am considering letting it go.

Here shown with the original grips swapped out for Ahrend's.

DR505: On a positive note (which is very hard to come by on this site these days!) "I" appreciate YOU "informing" me/us on the prices you paid for those super-cool pistols!
I virtually never ask folks who are speaking about new acquisitions "how much" they paid for them.
I appreciate your providing those prices as it makes me more "up to date" and aware of "things" (like trends, rarity and actual selling/buying prices of the guns I enjoy/love so much.
Thanks again - and in no way I am trying to disparage those who wish to keep "prices" private!
In the spirit of "sharing" I will relay the "price" of the last Smith & Wesson I bought (that I can find the receipt for) which was last November, where I bought a used mint perfect pre-lock Model 60-4 with 3" barrel and adjustable sights for $495.00 cash.
I consider that as one of the better "buys" I made last year.
Whoops - I just found another receipt - on December 16th of 2,021 I bought a mint perfect pre-lock Smith & Wesson Model 17-6 with a full lug 6" barrel, T/T & T/H for $795.00 - I consider that an excellent buy.
Long live the Second Amendment.

Well?? Still waiting to hear how they’re over rated and by whom.

The only S&W I actually have is a 629-1 serial # (?) AFL 1980. Stainless. 6" barrel, factory woods grips. Bought it to "compliment" my stainless Amacomda. Plan on keeping it to pass to my gramdsom, but wonder what it would be worth? I got it in a trade.
