length and weight would hinder a jump shot. Really depends how they're set up. I don't use the suppressor cover for hunting so that'd reduce this one another 5-ish ounces. With can, total barrel length = 22". Not being a smartass but what purpose does the cover serve, less mirage?

I went over to Glasgow last week and started the paperwork on my first suppressor.
The guy working at D&G helped me through the process and told me it would hopefully be about an 8 month wait for everything to clear.
Does that sound about right or overly optimistic? I am supposed to go look at some a guy has in stock, he said "about" 260 days.

I received notification over the weekend my TB Takedown 22 was approved. One week shy of 9 months. It'll be another couple of weeks to get here as I had to do a hard copy 4473 with Capitol Armory. Sent that out today.

Not being a smartass but what purpose does the cover serve, less mirage? It doesn't take long for the can to heat up (even in colder weather) so doing any load work or any more rapid series of shots, as Whttail_in_MT referenced, there can be quite a bit of mirage happening.

Good point. I had the barrels cut to compensate for the suppressor so if I took it off the balance would be off. I think most of the length weight and unhandy comments are made by people who are using heavy suppressors and/or not cutting their barrels short enough. I would have a poor opinion on hunting with a suppressor if I had a 24” barrel. BIG +1.

Ben, I'm kicking myself on waiting so long!
Dave, yep, they have the kiosk at a shop 50 miles up the road. I called on the phone and they ordered the can for me and I went up when it arrived to start the paperwork.
I see that particular can is now out of stock but I got to see mine in person last week!
10, hopefully that's about right. I'd love to have mine by this fall.

I have 1 and another in process and wouldn't want to do without it. I use it for smashing coyotes only on a couple of hot rod .22 cal stuff so I not hunting big stuff with it. Which one are you getting Sam?

Would never go afield w/o one. Carry in backpack until on stand (in case of jump shot) and then install. When and why did you change your mind about using them while hunting? Kinda wondering the same thing.

😂😂😂😂 Legend Root Toot lasted a grand total of 8 posts before he got bounced. He apparently thought chastising members of the LRH forum for shooting at distances he cannot would endear him to the assembly there.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Just a couple of his limitations along with shooting scary yardages. 😬🦫
