Shooting factory 22 Hornet ammo is how you get 22K Hornet brass. Yes, the 22 Hornet can be shot accurately in a 22 K Hornet chambered rifle.
There are 2 rules to success:
1. Never tell everything that you know.

One way to find out.
I pre-form my K-Hornet brass with a Hornady hydraulic form die. Messy as heck (involving water and a lead hammer) but effective. Just another way to skin that cat.

My brother bought a 22k hornet and he wanted some opinions You can. This is a target I shot a couple of years ago when I was forming K-Hornet cases. There are 100 shots. It is a 6 inch circle. The ammunition was a mix of different bullets and a few different powders. The group size was about 4 inches at 100 yd with the majority grouping around 2 inches. He'll have fun making cases and hopefully the rifle will do its job. My 22 K Hornet is an inexpensive Handi rifle that started life as a 22 Hornet.

I haven't tried handloads for fireforming in mine, but factory PRVI Hornet ammo didn't shoot well for me. Rather than multiple trips to the range with 400 rounds to fire, I went to the garage with a large round of firewood and had at it.

It’s probably a rifle to rifle thing.

The Privi shoots great in my 340 Savage . I bought it for the brass more than anything else cause I found it on sale for not much more than the cost of brass . My rifle kills Remington Hornet brass with neck cracks but not the thicker Privi brass.
Grumpy old man with a gun.....Do not touch . Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Don't bother my monument and I'll leave yours alone.

my pre winchester 70 and 54 are 1" guns, sometimes I can get 1/2" but there a true 1" gun @ 100 yards, wish they would shoot better but that's the best I can get
