I recently purchased a TC Venture re-bored from a 243 to a 358 Winchester by JES. (I believe a 1:12 twist) It was sold on here a few years ago, and then again just a few weeks ago. I was the latest one to acquire it. I had a few rounds loaded up from my other 358 Winchester using TAC and 200 grain Hammer bullets. Just for giggles I shot a few in the Venture. 5 Shots went in 1 1/2 inches at 100 yards. I wondered how it would do with loads specifically tailored for the rifle. I found out! I ordered 300 of the .358 spire point seconds from Midway (seem to be Hornady) Received them yesterday, and loaded up a few with Win 748 powder. Took it out just before dark, and man does she shoot!! This was my first sub .5 group. I was so stoked! It was shot with a Leupold 2-7 VX1. If I ever try and sell it, please talk some sense into me!! In the picture it looks like 3 shots, but the plywood backer was new, and I could see 4 distinct bullet holes. Now I load up 10 and see how tight I can keep those!! For reference, those are 1/2 inch squares in the target grid.

Nice work! I'm coming down with the 358 Win bug I'm afraid. Thinking about buying a Kimber Hunter and sending it to JES.

358 is bad to the bone. That is a shooter. I need to get one re-bored after hearing all the good reviews.

TC Venture’s are great rifles for the money. I’ve got one in 30-06 that is an absolute tack driver.

Looks like a great rifle. I also sell accurate rifles, so you are not alone. As for Tc Ventures, my buddy has one. It is chambered in 270win and it is a tack driver. I told him not to sell it or I'd kick his azz. He needed money once and I held on to the damn thing for him for a couple months. I didn't want to buy it from him, but didn't want to see him screw up and sell it to someone else. He paid me back after he got his taxes, so all was well. He's used that TC Venture to slay many bucks and it loves just about anything you put in it. OP better hang on to that one. Looks like a great rifle..

Very nice for sure.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Nice shooting. Hard to hate a good shooting 358 like that. That’s a great load and a great score on those 200’s. I kinda wished I’d have jumped on them when I saw them myself.

That should be a buck wrecker!

My son bought one in 338 Win Mag. We never considered the Venture but after handling it a little and dry firing it’s superb trigger, it was an easy decision. It didn’t disappoint us on the bench and I’d buy another one!
