IMO it’s merit is for people who don’t have a decent doctor, or want to play doctor, one or the other. The tests themselves are legitimate test to have. Some aren’t needed but you’ll get anyway, and some you may benefit from are missing, but on balance it’s a very reasonable off-the-shelf package of lab and imaging tests. So, i don’t mind them, for one.
Just puzzle over why people would buy it IF they already have a doctor who could tailor the tests ordered to them, give a proper exam, interpret the tests appropriately in context, and recommend a logical treatment course to take based on those results; rather than what lifescreen will give you, which is a sort of rough “normal/abnormal” or color gradient based “range” that may/may not be valid for you as an individual; then that’s it, you’re on your own, good luck.
I see patients to decode their lifescreen with some frequency. Don’t mind, but could have saved them a trip or two, an extra poke, a different study, etc by the time straighten it all out for them
But to each their own.
