Does anyone have a lead on Blackhorn 209? Or any suggestions for a replacement. I purchased a CVA Paramount I’m having buyers remorse because I can’t find powder. I have gotten scammed once from Alpha Gun Center. Definitely leave that one alone. Thanks

FWIW, our Scheel’s store in Lincoln has it in stock.

I haven't seen any online in ages, but a couple LGS have had a jug or two occasionally around here.
Plain old FFg BP shoots fine from my CVA, and is in stock pretty regularly at most places that carry BP supplies. It's just a pain to clean the breech plug out good after shooting it.

Certainly not my first choice, but 777 gives similar performance and used to be commonly available at Whatamart, especially after BH became popular. You will need to clean with a water-based setup like with BP. Check your manual for suitable propellants before you act, and be dang sure you’ve gooped up your breechplug good. Giving the breechplug a little turn every so often will help keep it from seizing up too.
BP can be hard to find locally too because of the restrictions put on it.

Cabelas / Bass Pro has had it on the shelf over the last couple of months - 6 to 8 cans at a time.
Price is elevated - but it's there.
I'd agree with the Triple 7 comment - it will get you started now, and it's pretty easy in a stainless or coated gun.

I saw some at Cabela’s a few weeks ago. It was priced so high, it’s likely still there.

I haven't seen any at LGS or Bass pro in my area in a very long time. Hopefully it will return soon.

I will be shooting black powder this fall if I draw. 209 is good, but not that good. Not at $6 /oz

I grabbed a 5-pound jug in 2020. That was about $3.25 an ounce, an ounce being about six loads.
Was in a local hardware yesterday that has a really good firearms section. They had quite a bit of powder, including some on the Most Wanted list. Prices ran from Not So Bad to Holy Jumping Catfish!
But they had it…..

Ukrainian/French actress Olga Kurylenko, a lovely gal for certain.
You’ll never see one of “my” gals depicted here, only the ones that catch my eye in movies and such. Usually they’re Asian these days, Chinese or Korean.

I have another new one in the rotation, Korean actress Jin Se-yeon. She usually has a girl-next-door wholesome look, but in this pic she’s vamped-up pretty good.

I just saw some a month or so ago, Fleet Farm in WI I think. It was priced at $69.99, no kidding. I have about 2 containers already, should last a while.
I’d have to see it below $40 to get me to buy.
