Really nice grain flow through the grip. Hubba hubba. 24" barrel ?
My .416 Taylor is a Ruger MK II stainless (re-barreled .338 WinMag) with factory tupperware stock, 26" Shilen barrel. 8#2oz without scope & rings though it does have Dakota express sights and barrel band sling base. Twist is 1:14" and the muzzle diameter is 0.700" at 26". With 26" barrel and RL-15 (75.0 grains), F-215, R-P .458 WM brass necked down, 400-gr Hornady RNSN 5-yard velocity was 2418 fps average, 1.5 MOA for 3 shots.
And just think, easy to re-barrel to .458 WinMag

Ha ha ha ... and I necked up most of my .416 Taylor brass back to .458 Win Mag. Got 100 pieces of .416 Taylor headstamp from Quality Cartridge. But even they are at risk of conversion to .458 WinMag.

I like that recoil pad on the .416 Taylor. BTW, the .416 Taylor is actually the .416/.450 Watts Short. And Jeffery Epstein did not kill himself.

That's one fine rifle. Is that a QD ring system?
Whatever you said...everyone knows you are a lying jerk. That's a bold assertion. Point out where you think I lied. Well?

Man that's a nice one, if you wish CFE-223 will easily and safely power 400gr bullets to a real 2400 fps, BTDT, ragged hole accuracy to boot.

Roger that! Just yanking your chain, it is a well executed feature. Just between us, I even install them on many light recoiling rifles because they tend not to slip when rested on the butt. I had a fine rifle with steel butt plate slip on me once when I was crossing a fence. Pads tend not to do that.

That is a beautiful rifle in a very useful cartridge. I loved my 416 Taylor and still miss it. Hell of a coyote killer and works on elk also. Comforting to stand down a grizzly with. Easy to load for, lots of powders work for it. I mostly used Re15 for full loads. Best of luck with your rifle

Thats a gorgeous rifle congratulations. I have a Taylor built on a tang safety Ruger action. It's been to Africa, Elk hunting and deer camp. As mentioned it's a versatile caliber just as useful in the deer woods as on the African veld.

Really nice. Sold off my 416 rifles. Needed the funds for other things. I may have some Speer and Hornady bullets left over and I have an RCBS 416 350gr mould.
