I was just in a gun shop the guy in the shop was talking about different things in the fact that bump stocks are now legal again because government didn't want to fight in court or lost in court or something didn't quite catch all of.. Anyone in the know ?

I know for years the democRATs and republicans did not want to create legislation that might get over turned in the Supreme Court. Heller snuck in and basically said that everyone has a 2nd Amendment right unless of course you were convicted of domestic abuse or were a felon. I believe that is one reason why the liberal anarchist left wants to pack the Court with liberals so they don't have to create legislation. They want to Court's to decide this. The democRATs will never vote for any legislation at the federal level that allows more folks to keep and protect the 2nd Amendment. The republicans don't have enough backbone to do anything at the federal level to protect the 2nd. These battles have to be done at the State level with Heller always in the background.

I heard the government lost their case in court when challenged by Gun Owners of America.

This is why I don't hang out with cops and snitches.

I think it was an appeal to a 3 judge panel on the 6th that the AFT lost.

The enbanc panel (16 judges) at the 6th heard the 2nd appeal and split the decision which upheld the original decision which the ATF had won. Link above.

To be appealed to the Supreme Court.

Please help us interpret what you mean by this?

I mean while politicians, judges, and lawyers try to figure out what you're allowed to do, I go about living my life how I want.

Unfortunately, there are people who think we should submit to the p, j, and ls. Those people are generally cops and snitches. Avoid them, and live your life.
