ya, but can you have as much fun in a truck, and will you get the longevity out of a truck that a normal user will get out of that RZR?

How many miles are these SxS going to get before they are worn slick?

Those performance machines are fun - friends of ours have a RZR Pro XP and we have a Can Am Maverick (both 2 seaters). My wife wanted a 4 seater but when the 2 seater came available last year, I bought it without discussing it with her.

Initially I wanted nothing to do with a 4 seater but we now have one on order and she got to pick the color grin For the riding we do, there's very few areas a 4 seater can't go that a 2 seater can. The 4 seaters ride better, climb better and and are more stable.

We have one of these with a bunch of options.

It is fast and capable. Windshield shape has a tendency to dump water right in your crotch and you'll definitely get coated if going through a lot of mud though...

Sounds like the old adage that if you didn't have $1000 worth of damage you didn't have enough fun.

If you ride hard in the bush, a 4 seater will struggle. We do not let 4 seaters come with us because they need to get dragged everywhere. Not to say a 4 seater is bad, they just aren’t as capable as a 2 seat in our style of driving. We have a Polaris turbo S 2 seat, and a 19 xp1000. Both good machines. My buddies Can Am 2 seat turbo does even better than my Turbo S. The 4 seaters get hung up over obstacles, cannot turn sharp enough, and get drug through the mud. Ymmv

Mrhp makes some valid points. Evan a 110 outlaw is faster than a 1000 turbo if you're going through a really woody area with tight trails.

We have a '12 Polaris RZR 800. We've thought many times that a 4 seater would be nice but then we'll ride an ATV trail where we can barely make some of the turns even with this short thing. A 4 seater would mean backing up and going back the way we came.

Yep - everyone seems to say "get the 4 so friends can go" - 95% of the time you only have 2 in there anyway and the friends that did go, catch the bug and get their own. Plus WTF am I subsidizing their fun?
