Marlin 336/ 1895 mount with Leupold FX2 2.5 ultra lightweight scope

That looks great. I’ve got the same mount and scope on order for my 1895. Did you get enough eye relief from that scope or do you find yourself having to creep up on the stock?

Sorry, Just now seeing your question. I shortened the stock on the rifle about 2 ", added a 1" decellerator pad, and it fits perfectly. I also mounted it a little further back from your photo. About 1/2" to 3/4" at the most. All in all, it is perfect for what I wanted. It carries well and shooting it is a real pleasure. I like the low mounts for a tight cheek weld.
