Oaks Gun Show at Greater Philadelphia Expo Center

Anyone been there before? Anyone going?

Heading there next weekend online it says it's a 1500 table show, a lot bigger than the small shows near me.

Four hour drive I plan to stay over 2 nights, plan to go Friday and then go back Saturday if it turns out a good show. Wife is excited to do some shopping while I am at show which could cost me more than a gun smile

Make sure you go to Jims if anywhere near south Philly if you want the best cheesesteak in town.

This show is way out in the suburbs. Oaks is out beyond Valley Forge, so safety isn't really a concern, although the usual cautions about leaving anything of value in your car in a large parking lot apply.

I haven't been for quite a number of years, but it was a pretty decent show the last time I was there. My interests run primarily to older side by side shotguns and single shot rifles, neither of which seem to turn up in any real quantity at gun shows anymore. I've done far better on the internet looking for such things.

Used to go gave it up over priced everything beef sticks jerky Pakistani knives lots of guns I could get at my LGS for less money. I went last time because one vendor who specializes in iron sights was holding one for me and the show was closer than his shop. If you have never been there I guess it may be worth a look.

Attended the show Friday and found a lot of ammo that was reasonably priced. Got several box's 20 gauge shotgun shells for $8.50 box and several 22 WMR box's of 50 $12 per box which is a lot better than my LGS. Lots of 9mm ammo running $375 per 1,000 or $18.75 a box.

Old willys: Thanks for the update.
That was a good price on the 22 WMR ammo - I drove down to Idaho Falls, Idaho (145 miles each way!) last Friday to do the gunshops there - and I paid $18.50 for a single box of Winchester old stock gray box 22 Magnum ammo (one of my 22 Magnums really likes that old stuff) anyway to add insult to injury they have sales tax in Idaho so I got doublescrewed there.
I did make up for that insult by digging a larger Boyt pistol rug (excellent condition) out of the used stuff rack and ignored the $10.00 price tag on it and offered the owner $5.00 for what was probably a $45.00 gun rug - he accepted my offer.
Thanks again for the update.
