I may have posted this before... I forget.

Regardless... it is still pretty cool.

Billy Moore is one of many boat builder around here "back in the day"... In fairness to others, there are many other designs (some are far better than this IMHO).

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

I've always wanted to build a boat for some reason and I already have one that is perfectly good.

I owned a deadrise built by John Elliott of Crocheron. It was built about 1950. Beautiful boat that could really handle rough water. The deadrise construction made replacement of bottom boards easy. Had is for 14 years and it is now owned by his grandson. I feel fortunate to have owned a piece of history.

Any of you fellas wanting to build one, don’t use pine, unless you are suicidal.

I am..........disturbed.

Me too. To my mind, there's something about crafting a boat with the main goal being the process.

Greenheart with oak ribs….just like Shackleton. 😉

I have as much desire to build a boat as I do to perform open heart surgery on myself.

I'd be cool with building one - wood deal, so long as I didn't have to store or maintain it after.

The building experience along with initial trials would be fun. Maybe owning it would be fun but I have no place to keep it.
