Scrolling through the Wal-Marts online keepin' an eye out for tires, and found Maxxis Bravo AT-771 LT 275/70R18 for $86/each. I'm guessing these are mispriced because most everywhere else they're $250+. They took my order and say they'll be here next week. Might just get lucky! I actually had some leftover WM gift cards, so I think I'm at ~$170 for a set of 4. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Maxxis-B...-E-10-Ply-A-T-All-Terrain-Tire/976380745

Last spring when I put a set on my truck WM had that exact size BFGs for $107 delivered to my somewhat local store. When they called and said they were there I went to get them to find that they were the wrong size. When they offered to get the right size they were out of stock. I got a refund and ended up buying a full priced set of Toyos at my local tire shop, sure would have been nice if they were the right size and saved me about $700.
Good luck!

I bet you’ll get them. Walmart online is my go-to for trailer tires. I’ve bought M-rated 6 and 8 ply tires for a low as $32 per tire. They do great on utility trailers. No one else in our area comes anywhere close to matching that for similar tires.

I have tracking info for them and they show to have shipped, so it looks promising so far.

Dang. Out of stock. I would've put a set in the barn for that price.

Wal-Mart runs clearance sales when sku's change or they drop products etc. I bought some small air compressors for $50.00 that were priced at $145.00 because they changed the sku number. My last two sets of tires have been around $65.00 a tire. Pays to be ready to strike.

Yep when you see a good deal you better jump on it.I just checked on the price of the Coopers I bought from Walmart online last year.I paid a $104.00 per tire. The price of those same tires today is $164.00 per tire.I expected tires to go up,but that is an increase of $240.00 for a set of four.Wow.............

That's why I've been keeping an eye out. Don't strictly need them today but it won't hurt anything for them to sit in the shop.

Oil is a major component of tires. Given what the oil markets have done - might be the lion's share of that upward pressure.

What's the country of origin for Maxxis tires? One place I don't buy discount is the one thing that keeps my vehicle planted on the road. So many tires actually made in the US by Americans who want to work, but buying American made only goes so far.

Not sure on these and may never find out. FedEx shows the shipment as canceled and Walmart has no idea why. Guess we'll see.

Someone's cousin Boudreau got themselves a shiny new set of tires.

I just ordered a set, that's a great price. Hopefully they come in. I don't need them yet either but they can sit till next winter.
Thanks for the heads up.

Well, I'll be darned if they didn't show up. Made in Taiwan which is somewhat expected (unlike the Coopers I bought a few years ago that were made in China). They look pretty good. M+S rated but no tri-peak symbol which I wasn't able to determine from the sales literature. 58 lbs. each on the bathroom scale. I figure they're a solid bet at ~40% the cost of most.
