Anyone have one? Thoughts? 1.8" or 3"? thought it might be a (somewhat) useful SD item for close-in encounters with the 3rd world kind IYGMD, compared to a .380 or similar..

Why would you want one in 22mag when you can get 38/357 in the same gun?

Thought one might be decent trapline rig.
Be more inclined to get one if they made a 4"

Think the .22 lr is 8 shot.
The .22 mag 6 shot.
And the .38/357 stuff 5 shot.

The .327 is 6 shot and WAY hotter than the .38 I'm a Ruger guy but I've never felt the Lcr was worth the premium price charged.

Bangflop! another skinning job due to .260 and proper shot placement.

I have 3 and never paid more than $300 for one. I don't know what they are doing in the Minnesota for Biden prices.

Went the whole route of SD handguns for my wife. Started with a model 36, then a 60 then a 637. Also had a Sig 232 until hand surgery prevented her from working the slide. Now she has the 7 shot S&W 22 mag. Works perfect for her.

Be nice when Ruger finally releases the 3" LCRx's in 9mm and 327 like they promised 4 years ago...

WORD!

I have the snubbie LCR in 327, and the 4 inch SP101 in 327. Obviously, the LCR is easier to carry in a pocket or hide on the belt. Also obviously, the SP101 is much more pleasant to run 100 rounds of high intensity 120 gr loads through at the range.

Been considering one myself. Don't think anyone wants to take a 22 mag to the face or torso

Dad had one in 22 mag. Took 2 men and a boy to pull the trigger. He gave it to me and I sold it.

I knew a cute little 25 year old lady about five feet tall who did (take a 22 mag to the abdomen), about forty five years ago. She and her husband claimed she accidentally shot herself in the belly. I always suspected his hands might have been on the weapon, but that is neither here nor there.

The point is, she got to the hospital and walked into the emergency room. I think they kept her overnight, but it did not slow her down much.

Probably did npmote damage to her ears.

Never liked 22mag handguns.
Way too much noise for the performance.

Probably right, as she was seated in the cab of a 1970 Datsun pickup.

Don't hold your breath on seeing that come out in 327. They just don't sell enough to justify another model gun in that caliber. I don't see the 9mm either, A lot of things have to change before many revolvers will be brought out. Who ever paid $300 for an LCR, better hang onto them because they are at least double that these days.

Overall I agree with the majority of your posts.. I don't intend to get one, but I DO wish Ruger would use their wonderful SR22 platform to add a .22WMR offering in that style..

Overall, a 1.88" barrel on the LCR just doesn't make sense for any magnum round. IMHO all that's gonna happen is a much brighter, and longer, muzzle flash.. The .327 Federal in my 4.5" Freedom Arms alone could light a Weber grill at five paces... laugh laugh

I went with a 1.8” 22lr over the wmr for all the reasons already mentioned.

It’s a favorite. Fits great in a pocket or Mexican carry.

Was being partly facetious, partly serious.

The bullet wounds heal, the ear damage doesnt.

I might guess P W was making slight comedy over your spelling of "more".

I would not know how to pronounce it either.

Eager for correction if this is a wrong assumption.
