I recently acquired these two, a lovely 99 EG with the coolest Lyman Sight I've ever seen (the peep works like a diopter) in 300 Savage and just about the NICEST 88 I've ever seen. This one is a newer one but it's just perfect. in 308 WCF.

Yes they are! Both, but I sure like everything about the Savage, and in its classic cartridge. 👌

Nice looking rifles. The 88 in particular has nice grain in the furniture. Hope you enjoy both of them.

Here is the rear sight. It's a Lyman, When you turn the knurled ring on the outside, it opens or closes the peep hole.

That’s probably a Merit aperture screwed into the Lyman. They’re still available if you want some more. Very nice EG, I have it’s twin that is one of my favorite rifles.

I am so jealous! I'm looking for a nice 44 mag or a BLR in 300 wsm.

Wow! More grain there than a Kansas farm!! All 4 of the levers in this post would be total safe queens for me. I’d be so scared to scratch and ding em. Thanks for sharing these beauties!

Centennial M94 in 30-30 and Browning M71 in 348 Ackley Improved.

The Ackley has a Skinner bolt peep and the Winchester has the Lyman tang from the factory.

That 88 is sweet. I’m gonna try to find one. I’m getting a Winchester 100 this week so the 88 will go great with it. Colorado_Luckydog I just picked up a Browning BLR stainless takedown in 300 WSM with a 16.5” barrel.

Merit for sure . I have them on all of my receiver sights. I have used them since the mid 60's. They were out of production for several years but they are back now. EABCO stocks them for the Williams sights thread but it also fits most Redfield and Lyman sights also.
