I help with coaching youth shooting programs and I want to have the kids make their own sand bags for bench shooting.

Twenty five pound lead shot bags work very well.

Does anyone have a few they will part with.?

Price?

Let me know if you need more

Ditto. Have a pile of them somewhere in an attic. Sounds like an excellent cause.

My last sand bag project I bought canvas and had an upholstery shop sew them up.
In my area no one carries Shot in good old canvas bags any more.

I made some years ago with legs of old
blue jeans that had unrepairable tears
and such in the seat or crotch, zipper, etc.
Cut em off, zig zag stitch up the end
pretty sturdy, fill with sand and a couple of
zip ties to close. Works pretty good and
very low cost

I've done this too, and it works just fine.

One addition that I'd suggest is to put a plastic bag (from a loaf of bread works well) in, put the sand in, seal the plastic bag, then seal the cloth bag.

Less dust filtering out over the next years!

I'm pretty sure I have some. Where do you want them sent?

My wife made some for me with the pant legs off of old jeans. They work really well. Just cut a section of leg off however long you want and sew the ends together.
