It's a two-edged sword. Had a great 2 (short) days. But now its a looooooooong time til turkey season again. Back when OK limit was 2, I bagged out opening day in about 30 seconds after flydown!
One flew down and stopped about 30 yards away. The second tom saw the first one flopping and came to investigate!

Kinda spoils the season, but sure is a sense of satisfaction!

Congrats, Yoder! That was a quick season for you! I'm down below the state line but they've been quiet once they fly down. Saturday's bird gobbled one time just as soon as his feet hit the ground. Monday's bird did not gobble on the ground. Good luck down there !!!

But I waited for them to separate so I only got 2. Filled my last tag the next day. That place was covered up with birds.

Congratulations on a fine season. Thanks, SS !!! This year has just been off the charts here. I went out yesterday with just my binos and my ears. The mature birds I heard were on fire on the ground. The mature birds I saw were alone an hour after flydown. RIGHT NOW is the time in my neighborhood !!!!!!! They are lining UP to commit assisted suicide.
