I bought this very nice MS 1956 in 243 Half stock from an Older Gentleman who was retiring from Minnesota to warmer climates! It has been reblued that being said drilled and tapped for the tip over side mount! Shoots fine and bore and rifling are impeccable. Is the any suggestions to whom I might contact for a fair assessment on the condition one might put it at and what might I be able to get out of it! Looking for someone to send pictures to as I hate Fotobuket! thanks, Otis!

My free opinion.
It does not have any value as a collectable to those who collect MS rifles. It is a shooter
.243 is not a rare chambering.
Full stock rifles and double triggers bring a premium over half stock rifles
Drilled and tapped rifles are not looked upon with favor.
1956 models (concave cheek rest) are not a lot of folks favorite.
Reblue is a negative.
I would ask $1000.00 for it from your description and hope for the best. Be prepared to take less! $800.00ish. Gunbroker is another world as far as pricing goes. That may be your best bet for $$$
