Din-Keep up the good work. You are filling a needed niche with the 348 WCF cartridge. I have filled the freezer with deer and moose meat.
All with the Model 71. It could use some more 200-220 gr bullets.

I spoke with Karl Meilke of Alaska Bullet Works shortly before e passed years ago. He told me because of demand he now only made the heavy jacketed version of his bonded bullets.
For the 350 and 400 grain in the 45-70, 250 grain in .348 Win. and 250 grain in .356 Win. the heavy thick jackets started at .025 at the nose and tapered to a thick .050 at the base. He stated that allowed expansion when velocity had dropped off as well as deep penetration and high weight retention up close at higher velocity.
They have a very good reputation here in Alaska and are my preferred bullet for those calibers and I was fortunate enough to have grabbed some for my three lever guns in those fine calibers. My .348 is the Ackley version and duplicates the great .35 Whelen with a good 250 grain bullet.
I cheer you on Dinny and hope you have success in getting more bullets into the hands of .356 and .348 users. A well built 210 grain bonded .356 bullet could do it all here in Alaska.
I asked Tom Sundies of Buffalo Bore fame about some +P .356 Win. loads and he said he would like to do some, but components are to hard to come buy.
I spent a portion of the day prepping brass to test these 35cal bullets. My plan (feel free to provide advice) is to shoot them into soaked newspaper at 50yds. I will use my 357 Maximum, 35 Rem, 358 Win, and 35 Whelen rifles to evaluate the bullet's performance at different speeds to replicate velocities at different distances. I'll keep track of the speeds for each load and provide the bullet maker with the data first. Pending his review I will post it all here for you to decide how it performs and how the bullets may best be used. I plan to conduct my tests over the Memorial Day weekend if I'm able to acquire enough newspaper by then.
I plan to test the 348cal bullet similarly but I need to build some dummy rounds first and mail them off to a friend with a Win 71 for feeding and chambering tests. My .348 Win is a single shot and it feeds perfectly. 😉

Using the 220gr Speer HCFN, 62gr PPV, WLRP, and Hornady brass, I got 2777fps from my 23" Whelen. I hope to get close to that with this new bullet but I'll have to work up to it. The bullets may look the same but their construction and composition may be different.
My tests will in no way be geared towards accuracy. I just need them to be accurate enough to hit the test media in the center so I don't lose any data.
