Been awhile since I’ve had a chance to get out. Took a quick hunt last night after dark in a new spot and called in a pair. Managed to take the female but couldn’t catch up to the male on his quick as hell exit! Lol

Rifle is a custom in .17-22/250. First chance I've had to use it since building it several years ago. 30 gr Nagel bullet.

One less of these hole digging monsters at the ranch. 6.8 SPC pushing 110 VMAX and it opened him up like a watermelon.

The super revolt is not small. It’s an awesome call though. The remote is much better than the revolt or the Foxpro shockwave. Last night was the first time I’ve used it and I’m extremely impressed with the quality. I’ll be cussing it when I have to tote it for daytime hunting though.

Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

Back in the day, this used to be a good thread with lots of varmints being liquidated. I went out today and liquidated some more with a bunch of recent purchased guns. All the guns I have bought in the past few years still don't include a Creedmoor or fast twist 223. What I do have, however, are a few new to me guns in:

Cooper Jackson Squirrel 218 Bee
Cooper 17 CCM
Winchester Pre-64 Super grade 220 Swift
Colt 2nd generation 45 Colt customized by Bob James for Ted Williams
Colt Bisley 4 3/4 inch 38-40

And a 2000 Chevy S10 with gopher guts from being too close to the impact of a particular gopher...

I caught a glimpse of this guy in a brush pile a couple weeks ago and had been keeping an eye out for him everyday. Pulled to the back of the barn this evening and gave a quick scan with the binos and sure enough he was sneaking around the brush pile, moving in and out of sight. I got the truck positioned, laid out the bags on the hood, ranged the brush pile at 280 and began the wait.

10-20 minutes passed when he finally crept out of the pile and started munching on something. When he finally moved to where it was safe to shoot I let him have it.

16” AR-15, 3-9x40 Burris Droptine Ballistic Plex, 55 grain Game King, 25.3 gr. TAC, CCI 41, 2936 fps.

Very nice guns and wonderfully displayed with the quarry. What did Bob James do with the 5.5incher by customizing it?

At what distances did you take the varmints with the revolvers? What's your load in the 45 Colt? I always dream of a 2ndGen 45 Colt with the 5.5 inch bbl. I even would prefer it over the 4.75. But I am also happy with my Ruger NM Blackhawk Stainless in 45.

He did a total action job on it and made custom bone grips for it. He does a better job on his actions than Bob Munden did. I shot them at about 25 feet with 250 grain cast bullets and a bit of Red dot powder.

Don't settle for the Ruger, get yourself another 45 in a Colt SAA. I will even sell you this one...

So you've pretty much gave up on the 222 magnum
