Wow.
Enjoy it, if you buy it.
They don't make'em like they used to!
The first 49 years of my life were spent living and Hunting in the dense woods of the Cascade Mountains west slopes - many of my friends Hunted with the Remington 760 Rifles for Blacktailed Deer, Black Bear and Elk.
I just never warmed up to them back then - but I would love to own the one you pictured!
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you and I had hoped that folks would appreciate seeing it. I have no intentions of buying it myself.

They are great guns!!

No this was a 22 pump I believe.

Well, we are both right!
I just flipped through Brophy's book on Marlins and both the Lever action 410 and the Model 47 22 pump "along with some others" were offered for free with a purchase of 4 shares of Marlin Stock.
Enjoy your day,

I’m thinking $2500 is pretty short on the value of this rifle. I’ve sold a bunch of pumps in the last few weeks and there are some guys out there with deep pockets!!!

Well, that is the price that he wants for it. I seriously doubt he would have any issues with someone buying it as an investment just like he did. I do think it would be fun to put it on GB just to see what the final number would be.

OMG......what a beautiful rifle. I have to admit to owning a Rem 760 .257 Bob into the late 80's. The rifle was in superb condition just missing the rear sight elevator. I was going to scope it anyway. The rifle was also an excellent shooter with Hornady 100 gr and 117 gr bullets. One of the few rifles I so regret letting go.

I will wager if the in the box 760 .257 is listed on Gunbroker the final sales price will exceed $3,000 if not close to $4,000 if not more.

Not to hijack the post, but I have a little older sibling of this M760, a nib M722 Bob that was born in Jan ‘53.
