In a recent shipment of einstecklaufs, as everyone here knows, sub caliber insert barrels for drillings & combos, I got one I’ve never seen before. It’s a krieghoff smoothbore “shot” insert in 22lr with a muzzle length, light aluminum tube. Marked krieghoff on the tube.
Anyone ever seen one of these?

erich, you might be on to something. In Italy and Spain songbirds are hunted as a food delicacy.

Thanks folks
No idea what to do with it. Probably patterns pretty good for shooting carpenter bees off the porch..
Any interest in it from collectors?
Was thinking if no one wants it, I’d make a 17mach 2 out of it.

Sorry for the late reply. Was out of town, then missed your question.
It’s for 16 gauge. Length is @28.5”. Could be shortened as it doesn’t seem to have any choke.
