Just a 120-day out bump.

There is a bit of a change in the dates. I booked my ticket as I'm going regardless and by sliding and extending the dates a bit I was able to save $1200.00 r/t total from Tampa to Gaborone and back on Delta with a overnight in Jberg on the way in. The money I saved on airfare more than offset the couple of extra days of hunting.

Departure date now is: Depart 18 Aug, overnight in Jberg on the 19th. Fly into Gabs on the 20th and be in Saas Post by mid afternoon.
Hunting days will be 21 Aug to 4 Sep (14 full days)
Departure will be 5 Aug and home on 6 Aug.

Still two or three spots left for this Aug trip. Still time to book tickets and make it as long as you have a current passport and a 7mm or larger caliber rifle ready.

One good bit of news on the Covid front....looks like all we are going to need to come back to the US right now is the cheap and quick antigen test. It's just a few buck, takes about 15 min to get the results and can get it in the airport in Bots the morning we fly out so that adds an extra 1/2 day of hunting that would been needed to drive to get an RT-PCR test the day before flying home.

I will bump this one more time at the 90-day point and that will be it. Could still make it but you'll have to scramble a bit.

Your returning a little over 2 weeks before you leave! I’ve heard of Daylight Savings Time but WOW! 🤪

I have "CDO". It is just like "OCD" except the letters are in alphabetical order LIKE THEY SHOULD BE!

Thanks Kevin. Guess it was a matter of serious wishful thinking. 350-days of actual hunting!!!!

Yes, the return departure date will be 5 SEP and home 6 SEP.

Just bumping up a kind of a last call for this trip. About the 90-day window for departure. Getting a bit tight but, if someone has a passport, and a 7mm or larger caliber rifle ready to go, it's still doable depending on availability of airline tickets.

I'll be out of the US for about 2-weeks starting this Tuesday (24 May) and not taking a laptop, just my phone. Will only have sporadic WIFI so, not a lot of opportunity to connect with anyone interested in going other than a PM and follow-on emails or we could set up a time to call and talk over smartphone apps either Duo or better would be WhatsApp.

Once I get back I've got about 10 days before I leave for Namibia (17 Jun) for three weeks on a leopard/PG hunt with two first time guys.

If you're sitting on the fence about going, now is the time to "make a plan" or you could miss the boat for this year.
