Number of days since we last had a temp of 60* or greater.

Enjoy summer.

Damn, was that summer? ? I still haven't planted anything! smile

Actually I went home last night to water some of my wife's fugginflowers. The two 35 gal garbage cans in the passive greenhouse (with an auto vent) were nearly full of water, and that was above body temp. Strawberries are still in their containers, blooming and setting on fruit.

It was about 8 pm - 6 solar time - and still 75* in there. The auto vent wasn't entirely closed yet. I may have to add another auto-vent lower down on the opposite side of the greenhouse to get airflow enough to keep it under 90 or so. Not putting in fans- no power, and I'm not running any.

Nice looking greenhouse, kk. Prettier than mine!

It hasn’t sucked.
Been some really nice days; hope we aren’t exhausting our summer quota early!

Was in Seward yesterday. Lived here 11 years, this is the first time I’ve been to Seward and not a cloud in the sky. Was 70 at the house. Tuesday the greenhouse was 102. I think it’s time to plant the garden.

My folks up are up there right now doing the tourist thing to Denali and back down on the cruise ship.

They took the plane ride around the mountains today. Amazingly clear skies.

We drove to FBX yesterday and it was the most gorgeous day in many months with nary a cloud. It'll take more than one of those to erase this past winter.

Only thing worse than limbing and bucking a dozen trees (with another dozen to go) in 70+ is not being able to burn the slash… I’m over it, could use a cool wet break.

I was living in Fbx during the record snow year, ‘91-‘92?

There was still snow in the woods Memorial Day.
