Just a Little Factoid..
Volker caused Two Recession to Fight Inflation..
Given the Volker Balance Sheet and Powell’s Balance Sheet just how many Powell Recession will it take for Inflation to become Tame..

DJT also knew that low energy prices was one of the main keys to keeping inflation tamed.

Trump was preaching bringing jobs and industry back to the US, and keeping a secure border. I'm spitballing, but how many commodities are the illegals consuming since FJB was appointed that US citizens need?

The Dow is down through the floor. The Nasdac is down and S&P is down. Plus the idiot is heading to Asia. Ducking all responsibility. His mantra is that it always someone else’s fault. Biden is without a doubt the worst president EVER! Tighten your belts people. MTG

so we approaching retirement ( dreaming ....) will have a lot less money..
BUT on the flip side...the dollars we do have will be worth less.

Gee Trump was bad....

DOW was at 27,000 Nov 2 2020.

With what Biden and Co have done in 18 months, why should it be even 1 point higher than that now?

I’m prepared to see 27,000 again soon

This isn’t Trump’s fault per se, but he did have a hand in it. To say otherwise is at best naive, and more than likely just flat out dishonest. We’ve been screwed by politicians of both colors all my life. You can’t leave the fed rate at zero, and print and hand out money recklessly and not expect inflation and market instability.

We’ve been competing with all the folks that they threw cash at for 2 years AND 30-40 million illegals (and millions of LEGALS) to boot.

You had folks with little money, GETTING money, and folks who had plenty, getting “fun money”, too.

Hell, just look at gun prices. Everyone sitting on their azzes at home, a $2000 check shows up from Govt. You can’t take a trip. There aren’t any trucks to buy. “Hey, Ima get me a gun! What the heck, I’ll bid it up a bit higher. I didn’t have to EARN this money! It was FREE!”

Now, apply that same principle to food, housing, autos, whatever.

Apparently, it never crossed anyone’s mind that illegals gotta eat, drive, have shelter, TOO! Oh, and you just went through 2 years where products weren’t getting made in large numbers, as well.

It’s all been a perfect storm of easy money and lack of available goods, with too many people (and $$$) chasing “too little goods”. Just like Mr. Friedman, said...

I think you might want to check this link and compare the Fed rate from
The Obama and Biden years to Trumps years. There is a difference- but essentially I get your point.👍

The Russian sanctions sure helped lower global fuel prices lol. And China Subsequently shut down our supplies adding to the problem. We have idiots( run by Obama) running our economic and foreign policies and phugging up as usual.

Good job commie fighters

As mentioned Trump kept fuel prices cheap and a very strong respected foreign policy and was taming run away inflation. Biden did a reversal
