Hi,
What is the going rate for threading a barrel for a suppressor. The barrel is factory barrel for 22lr Sako Quad. The suppressor has 1/2-28 threads (Silencerco Sparrow, not purchased yet). What should I anticipate for cost? One shop said could be as much as $125 depending on the size of the barrel, which I have not measured yet. Thanks for any help.

The shops around here that do machine work charge around $80 per hour of machine time, one hour minimum. $125 sound like a fair ballpark number.

A gunsmith friend that lives 150 miles from here charges me $25. A close gunsmith charges me $50. Gas prices the way they are the close gunsmith is getting more of my work.

I prefer classic.
