Incidentally a sling shot is a great way to transition do to cross-dominance...
Have you tried extracting the agitator balks from rattle cans? You get a free glass/plastic sling ball and can make use of the residual paint in the can..

What brand of device is that Geno? Chinese copy of a dankung ergonomic dancing/pocket predator ranger loop with a few improvements from amazon. The tubes I made from 1/8 I.D. x 1/16 W. - 1/4 O.D. to Tex-shooter's heavy hybrid specs.
