Magpul Pros aren't bad. All steel. Not cheap, though.

I see a lot of guys putting flip ups on a flimsy handguard. Then some may say, "these damn sights aren't worth a chidt". When in actuality it is the flex in the handguard resting on the bi-pod or bags that is causing a POI shift. Even a tight sling hold can throw your POI off if you are using a cheap azzed handguard that flexes too much. That's on you, not your sights.

Excellent choice. Very solid sights. I use ultradyne flip ups, but that was not what the OP was asking about.. Those are excellent as well and steel. They don't lose their zero even after multiple times flipping them up and down..

I like them. They work as they should. Always love it when the boys come from the big city with their custom AR's, thinking they are going to put a hurt on us country boys with their olympic style AR's. They get shut down pretty fast..

Local dirt says his steel magpuls are expensive. How much are they?

bsa, I forget but I always wait and buy that kind of stuff on sale around the holidays. I can look it up, though.

I like the looks of those DD fixed, though. I think kingston has a couple sets of those and likes them, too..

They are about $170 average for the pair when I was looking, haven't looked at them since I bought a set over on ARF for $100 shipped.

They could be cheaper or more expensive, but the MIM construction makes me look the other way. Something about injection molded metal makes me think potmetal.

Yeah. Curious as to how strong they are. MIM has come a long way I believe. ?? I don't know what way I'd go, IF I were looking for a good cheap set of sights. Although, at $170.00 you'd expect them to hold up quite well??

Cheapest I saw was $96ish each shipped, couldn't find a set in stock to see if they were cheaper.

I think there are way better options than the Magpul Pros, I haven't seen a set of Troy's or DD I could fondle first hand.

I want a set of the Troy Tritium Battle sites strictly for going to the chicken coop at night, that or a 1 or 2x night vision optic, preferably thermal.

I run mostly run DD fixed and Troy folding BUIS. That said, I also use MI fixed and MATECH rears. I have one set of Dueck Defense RTS, which are really well made, but bulky.

Get a Modlite and don't worry about the Tritium.

Tritium sights turn black when you light up the target and if you can’t see your target then you can’t shoot so tritium sights on an AR are kinda worthless.

How does that work?

It uses a sophisticated reflector to flood the target with a beam of light produced by exciting a light emitting diode with electricity from a rechargeable battery.
