Anyone have experience with this scope? What does it compare to? Would like to hear others opinions on it.

Thanks

Good glass, nice reticle. I found some fading in dim light at higher power. The 50mm may be better in that regard. Mine went down the road.

put one on a 338 Edge temporarily for a moose & bear hunt back in 2012, barrel is about toast now, but scope still on there and doing just fine, shot mostly 300 & 325 gr bullets and recoil didn't faze the scope sitting in Nightforce rings and rail

love the low power setting for late evening hunts, calling moose out of the Alaskan jungle and smashing them

I have one, the elevation turret "came loose" and fell out somehow, got "lost". Have had no luck getting help from Bushnell on a replacement part, or repair(?). Was a decent scope, otherwise.

I've had exactly ONE warranty/repair interaction with Bushnell and it was for the most part a positive experience. You might have good luck if you try again. You have nothing to lose but a few minutes of your time.

I have 2 of them and would buy a 3 rd at the right price. I payed 375 and 400 for the 2 i have. I also have a 4.5x30x50. Its a great scope at only 13 1/2” long.

I like the 42 mm objective better than 50 mm

I had four. The glass is good but not as good as the three
4 1/2-30X50 I have so I sold them.

I have a 4.5-30, it's been on 2 rifles and it ran out of elevation to get a 100 yard zero. Sent it in, they said it tested fine. It's currently on a custom 338 rum that is waiting to be fired so we'll see if it works now. Overall I have high hopes for it.

I had a 2.5-16x50 with a fine duplex but gave it to my son to put on a .223 coyote/groundhog gun. It was a very good scope optically and was easy to zero (the adjustments worked as they should) and it held zero while I had it.

If I could find a 2.5-16x42 with a mildot reticle for a fair price I would purchase it immediately.

After multiple emails with Bushnell CS, finally got some-one to give me approval to send my scope in. In one day they replied it had arrived, and they would contact me with repair details after one of their people looked at it. Next day I got a message that it was "finished" and being returned to me - no details on what - if anything - they did to it? Guess when I get it back I'll find out more?

That sounds odd. What mount and rings? Action?

Running out of El for a 100yd zero sounds like something besides the scope.

One was a 340 Wby on a Lone Peak Fuzion, I forget the rings. The other was a 6.5 RPM on a MK5 in Talley's. I couldn't get either close at all on elevation, like 2+ feet high.

Before those, it was on a 6.5x284, I only shot it a few times but shot a 1/4 moa group at 100 and it was fine. Also was on a 338 RUM on a Lone Peak and it was fine. I think possibly the 338 rum may have messed it up at some point? I'll see once I get out to fire the newest 338 rum, it's on a Bighorn Origin with Hawkins rings.
