I was raised to despise commies and have had a bunch try to kill me. Russians smell bad, make lousy cars and aren't happy unless their leaders stand on their necks. Japs think their schidt doesn't stink, eat bait and make the world's best SUV.

I'm a loyal American but am realistic about the human condition and worry more about the state of our nation than the corruption of others. We do live in interesting times but an optimist can still enjoy life in this country.

I don’t have any use for Russians. They’re a despicable and contemptible lot that is ill tempered and prone to lying and thievery. I have a lot of experience with them and I have no use for any I’ve met. I don’t draw a distinction between Ukrainian and Russian since Ukraine is a rather new invention….those SOB’s are Russian.

I can’t figure out why in the hell we’re sending 1 dime to those bastards and I think our Founders would see this as an egregious abuse by the King….

My Dad was a gunner in Mcarthur's Fleet and a union plumber for 60 years. He was all about "buy American." "I spent 2 years killing those bastards." until Obama was elected.

This holding of grudges puzzles me somewhat. The Cold War policies of the "Russians" have had pretty much 30 years to fade, the Japanese atrocities of WWII have had over 75 years, and a certain other conflict concluded over 155 years ago, yet the grudges remain. I am reminded of a cartoon in Mad Magazine which showed a hand squeezing some strange-looking bird captioned "Holding onto a Grudge Until the Feathers Drop Off". I am not sure what benefit there is in holding onto grudges long after the cause for them and the people involved have receded into many sunsets.
