Headed down to Texas to shoot pigs in a few months and the rancher tells me that I should mount a light on my rifle. It's a 700 Remington.
What do you guys recommend for the light and for the mount?
Thanks,
Okie John
If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

Sightmark wraith, or any green light will do. Or if you wanna really have a good time pick up a thermal and go to town.
The .270 is the greatest hunting catridge ever designed. To dispute this fact is to only justify our loonieism in owning and hunting with inferior cartridges.

Sniper Hog lights make a number of them and they offer mounts to attach to your scope. Also look up some cheaper Knock offs, every bit as good for a fraction of the price and scope mounts are available for them too. Helpful hint...if you'll be shooting out of a blind mount the light on the side, not on the top, of the scope. Ive killed a literal ton of hogs with a $20 knock off light....and lately have been using a better one that was $65 with changeable red/green/white LEDS. Amazon has a bunch...
