I think it was only up for a matter of hours.

That was a crazy good deal. The seller had it listed under semi automatic rifles which may have contributed to fewer people seeing it. I can’t tell from the pictures whether it was 21 or 24 as listed in the specifications. Hopefully somebody here was able to get it.

I don't know when it was listed but the first bid looks like it was yesterday. Every few days I search for Fieldcraft under bolt action rifles.....I was wondering why I hadn't seen it.

Yep...seller messing up and listing under semi vs bolt probably cost him $500-800.

I just did an overall search for Fieldcraft under all listing categories a day or two ago and it wasn’t there. As stated , it was not listed under bolt actions. Seems a little fishy considering the seller account was dormant for about a decade . None the less, hope it’s legit and a buyer scores in the end .

Sounds fishy to me --- several years ago I found an old Sako on Gunbroker I had been wanting to find -- short time frame auction with new seller. I won the auction but as I looked into it there was clearly something wrong. As I pushed hard on the seller it become more fishy. I did a google search of the wording used in the description and found the same gun for sale in New Zealand.

What surprised me about my research was how unhelpful gunbroker was -- their response was essentially "looks ok to us"

I lead on the seller for a few days more about me getting ready to send the money, etc, etc. hoping to make life a little painful for them as well before I finally told I knew they were frauds and evil people.

I hope this one turns out to be real

Interesting. It is still for sale on a local site from a member with no feedback. It will be interesting how this turns out.

I’d bet money seller is a scammer

I’ve watched almost all Fieldcraft auctions and NOONE runs their auction less than five or seven days. Nope, it doesn’t mean it’s a scam but several things made me weary of this sale.

Agree... looks like someone got their GB account hacked because it was dormant and probably changed contact info for payment. Real GB user probably never logs in or pays attention to their account.

I just called the dudes post out on the local site Hamrick posted. I recognized it as soon as I saw it. Someone is up to no good and the local site Hamrick posted has gotten really bad with scammers.
