This is why ranchers hate ground squirrels and why varmint shooters love them. This is a dry pivot corner of a 240 acre alfalfa field where I shot 352 gophers here in 4 hours last Tuesday, all shots were with a 22 LR from distances of 75 ft to 125 yards, and I never moved the vehicle more than a couple of hundred feet. The whole field looks like this - it is definitely a target rich enviroment. I just wish they were above ground more than about 4 months of the year. You guys are making me depressed here. I missed out on the shooting this year due to health reasons but just wait till next year. I'm sure that all that ammo I loaded or bought will keep for a year.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.

my mobile slaughtering unit don't have AC.... Yeah but it has an authentic wooden shooting platform, a 180 degree ( at least) field of fire, and a Fin in the back! I also refer to mine as a " Climate Controlled Hunting Unit"

223 Rem with Xterminator powder and a 40 gr V-Max at 3700 fps. The V-Max dumped all of its energy inside - this one would have made a nice rug since the hide was not damaged at all.
