I am trying to find a WHPG breeder and am having trouble locating one. Most of the websites and links I find are very outdated and unresponsive.
Hoping to find an active breeder in Vermont,New Hampshire, Connecticut and Mass.

If anyone knows of a breeder in these states can you please let me know

Thank you

let me get back to you. Make some calls. I would recommend grouse mountain in Whitefish MT. Have to check if he will breed this summer. I prefer dogs who's parents were on a lot of wild birds that's why I like western breeders. There might be a few in Canada or WI or Minn but mostly exposed to grouse.

Use for hunting or a house dog?

It would be a house dog as well as a hunter. I hunt Pheasants and Grouse with some occasional waterfowl

Search Snake River Griffons
I think they are about to have a litter.
I was going that route but wife found another litter that was ready last month

Hun Hill in Idaho. Guy named Frank Puccio. He breeds, trains, and hunts griffs. Great dogs.

I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a griff. Not that there aren’t other great breeders, but I trust what Frank does for the breed and dogs.

We started our griff journey in 2001 in Alaska (our home at the time) after seeing one of the dogs on a beach in Mazatlan.

We raised and bred them for about 15 years prior to our dogs succumbing to old age in '16/17.
After a five year hiatus we purchased one this Spring.

This latest griff pup came outta Twin Falls, ID. Fine dog--best off everything as far as I can tell.
And for $900, he was a gift. I looked early last year and $2500 pricing wasn't unusual, but I wouldn't bite at that price point.

PM if you're still looking, I'll share some info....

Thanks Broomd,

We are in contact with a couple breeders right now. We haven't pulled the trigger yet but if we decide to expand our search I'll get in touch with you. I appreciate the offer.

So after a long search for my next pup I am still on the hunt for a Griff.

Most of the breeders I have contacted are either no longer breeding or have not returned my emails/calls.

If someone knows of a breeder that is still active I would appreciate hearing about them.

broomd, I will shoot you a PM.

Thanks guys

PM sent. Otherwise check the NAVHDA test results and which breeders are producing dogs with good natural ability scores.

I've pretty much given up looking at this point. After reaching out to a ridiculous amount of breeders the amount that have gotten back to me is very low. On the ones that have gotten back to me nothing worked out or they stopped communicating to me altogether. I am going to take a breather from the dog search dn revisit at another time. Very frustrating so far.

Don't give up. Griffon's are wonderful dogs, full of love and hunt, and they're tough. You won't regret the time and effort finding your pup.
