Its all right to be white!! Stupidity left unattended will run rampant Don't argue with stupid people, They will drag you down to their level and then win by experience
THAT is the reason I've never tried a Crimson Trace scope.
I prefer simple reticles...the less busy, the better.
This is dumb, IMO:
If there has to be THREE heavy elements of the reticle, then the lower element should be the finer one. The thickness of it otherwise occludes too much of the view.
Don't be the darkness.
America will perish while those who should be standing guard are satisfying their lusts.
Colossians 3:17 (New King James Version) "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
Not so much the reticle itself, but the application. The Burris Fullfield E Series(?) with the undersized reticle...looks almost like its an FFP reticle, except it doesn't get any larger with magnification change. I have no idea why they decided to make it so small.
LOL…it says “custom”. Maybe it’s for when coyotes tilt their heads back and howl, you put the point of their nose at the top of the diamond! If it doesn’t fit right, drop to next diamond, or find a bigger coyote to shoot at!
Bushnell DOA 600, upside down Christmas tree made me wonder what they were thinking...
"Camping places fix themselves in your mind as if you had spent long periods of your life in them. You will remember a curve of your wagon track in the grass of the plain like the features of a friend." Isak Dinesen
I never liked any reticle with extra hash marks that were only accurate at a certain power. I don't want to have to think about whether my scope is set on 6x or 9x if I'm trying to make a longer shot in a hurry.
I don't generally have an opportunity for long shots anyway. I much prefer a simple heavy duplex or #4 over anything else.
It might be lonely at the top, but it's a bitch at the bottom.
When Redfield was in Denver they offered a "peep and crosshair" reticle back in the 1960s, a crosshair with a circle at the center.
I think it's a Bushnell on my inline that has a setup like that. Kinda like it. The circle doesn't bother me, kinda draws the eye to the center. The intersection of the bottom of the circle and the vertical wire is close enough to work at 200 yards. Surely just luck.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
I received as a gift a Vortex Viper 1X4. Scope itself isn't bad, but the reticle is a big lit, glowing red blob of schitt that is senseless to me. The 223 one in an AN/PVS-4 is a real winner too.
If there has to be THREE heavy elements of the reticle, then the lower element should be the finer one. The thickness of it otherwise occludes too much of the view.
This is my favorite reticle. It works great for my needs.

Interesting we actually all mostly agree in this thread, lol
