there is an early season here, too, though not as liberal as yours sounds. two canadian geese per day, and there is enough restrictions on where you can hunt at etc. but, yep, i'll be out for it. my decoys are waiting patiently, my dogs are ready, and there isn't too much dust on my shotgun.
