why o why doesn't steiner offer the predator in a simple illum dot,ala zeiss #60, reticle???

They do in the Ranger 4 series, but unfortunately it's been kept away from the US market. Zeiss does the very same thing with the V6 line. There's a 2-12x50/#60 that would be ideal for many applications, but Zeiss tries to keep that one across the pond.
