I'm told by nurses that not all hospices are "bad", but I don't like what I've seen in any of the care centers or hospitals. The protocols have been very similar. A number of physicians have talked of how immortal the hospice protocols are.
It used to be that Dr "death" Jack Kavorkian was looked at as an evil mass murderer...1990s. Now evil is considered good and good for evil.
Tarqueer? Is that you?
Are they immortal?
These the same folks you train on a regular basis?

Go away dip$hit, this is a real thread, with real men that don't need to suffer your bull$hit.
Takes longer than you think I watched my dad who was brain dead linger for 48 hrs
Some folks might call bull schit but 10 minutes before he passed he seen something with his eyes closed asleep and moved his lips talking to somebody and at the end of the conversation he smiled 🥲 a hell of a thing to witness

I can sympathize. I've seen that too. Sorry for your loss.
It really is a shame that we actually do treat cats and dogs better than humans with death rather than suffering a bunch needlessly. Says something about society don't it........................Just like funerals, they are for the living not the dead.
Also depends on if thr hospital can drain anything else out of Medicare
100% true!
Nearly all healthcare providers are prone to milk a dying person who has good insurance for every dollar that they can bill. They won't ignore a DNR, but they will provide expensive care that will do nothing to improve a dying person's length or quality of life. They kept my MIL alive in a vegetative state for three or four months and didn't miss an opportunity to bill for any number of expensive procedures. It was disgusting, but there don't seem to be any effective checks and balances on Medicare billing and reimbursement. The attitude seems to be "The government has deep pockets, so hit Medicare for every reasonable billable care activity that you can think of for a person with whatever healthcare issues they have.".
Watching my dad over the last yr I have already decided I'll eat a bullet like my uncle did before I put my family through it.
I’ve thought the same for quite some time. Guess we’ll see when the time comes, but I plan on choosing my own terms if it doesn’t happen prematurely. Laying in some hospital in piss covered Sheets isn’t the way it’s going to happen. There are fates worse than death.

Dude. STFU. You are a net loss. The more you type the less useful you are.
My father was 90 and in hospital for pneumonia. I knew when they turned the painkiller up and the Oxygen down, they were killing him.
There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self. -Ernest Hemingway The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything.-- Edward John Phelps
I found my dad dead from a massive heart attack when he was 54,
Mom had a massive stroke that wiped out 75% of the right side of her brain at 69. We ended up taking her off of life support, she lasted another 11 days after that. One hell of a decision to have to make on your birthday.
I hope mine is swift when it comes
Just because you're offended doesn't mean your right.
