........can we get rid of the F'n 9/10 of a cent at the end of gas prices ??????
That 1/10 of a cent is now less than .02% of the price of a gallon of regular unleaded. Does ANYONE feel they're getting a bargain at $5.099/gallon over $5.10/gallon ???

Never did quite get why gas is done thataway while nothing else on the consumer end is. It was all for The Ice Cream Generation to feel like they were getting treated with respect and value and had choices and valued as consumers.

I read this one time....
Back in the 73 gas war days, when prices took a leap, it looked better to have a big sign with $1.259 (with the 9/10's being smaller, than a sign with $1.26. This is just an example. According to the article, that's when it became popular.

Never did quite get why gas is done thataway while nothing else on the consumer end is. Back in younger days when gas was 25 - 30 cents a gallon, it was, maybe, a bit more meaningful. But, now............ It's just laughable.......if there's ANYTHING about gas prices to laugh about.
