Interesting. Bees have barbed stingers that are left in the sting site. Wasps don't typically leave stingers in ... so that they may be re-used.

When I rubbed the tenderizer off there was a dark colored object there that I assumed was a stinger. All I know is that it worked for me, and it has worked for anyone that was stung that was around me.

The best fix is tobacco. Get a teaspoon full of tobacco and moisten it and put it on the site. In 15 seconds all symptoms will be gone. I am pretty sure that tobacco neutralizes the poison.

Hit it w/ a stun gun while peeing on it, works great.

That's strange.

Dog got bit by a copperhead when he was a pup. Took him to the vet 'cause the bite was on his face.

They gave him a cortisone shot and a dose of Benadryl. Said if he got bitten again, don't bring him in, just give him the benadryl.

Then our other dog got copperhead bit on her remaining rear leg. I gave her a good dose of benadryl, and followed in the morning with another. By evening she was getting around fine, and no swelling.

I'm betting that the vet was giving the benadryl as a prophylaxis against an allergic reaction. But I'm not even a dog doctor. Just a beekeeper.

I'm confused?

Pee on the bee sting while hitting it with the stun gun or

Pee on the stun gun while hitting the bee sting?

I get stung by wasps probably 6 times a year. Last one a week ago, innocently walking down the back deck steps...lil bastard whopped me right on the back o' me noggin. I said bad words.

I think you're supposed to taze your girl while she pees on your head....

Could you accomplish the same results if one was to just hit their willie with the stun gun as they started the stream towards the sting?

And how's that gonna work for the OP who I think got stung on the face? Would he have to lay on his back like a baby boy havin' his diaper changed.

I worked at a honey operation in high school. !st sting was right between the eyes.
Worst was from a dead bee I crushed in web of fingers.
We used the tenderizer stuff to help with pain.

Sorry for the ouch - but glad it was only an insect and not the "old rattlesnake" you sometimes mention. Hope the pain and swelling have started to clear away by now.

Speaking of - a few days ago one of my old treasures quit between the house and garage. Hot day here in the high desert.

Diagnosed a shorted starter cable, grabbed tools, got on the dirt and scrunched under to remove the starter/cable and part way through the job needed another tool. Got out from under and took my good old time getting what I needed.

Later scrunched under the truck again - had a strange feeling or notion - and just then the buzz of the rattle started. A diamondback about 4 ft. long needed some shade and had slithered in while i was gone - under the rear axle. It was tight under there and I was not about to try to kill that snake with a seven inch long wrench.

I probably set a record for hasty exit by an old dude - sprinted to the shed to get a rake - when i got back the coontail was rapidly headed under the fence for other parts. It was a no-harm draw this time.

I imagine greasing down Ellie May probably worked for Granny too!!!!!
