Lava Creek doesn't actually disclose the selling price, I don't think. But I do know what they were asking for it. Pretty solid number. Ain't taking that away from you.

I've seen quite a few callmakers' reject piles and "firewood". I used to make some friction calls.........so I get it. Junk is junk, no matter how good it looks. If itdoesn't make the cut it just doesn't. Still hard to smack a beautiful looking call with a hammer or toss it on the campfire.............

Just curious................... What was the issue that sent that one into the campfire ??

Is yoderbOy jealous he doesn't have a box call like he posted ?

Does he think this was a one time thing or a record price....it wasn't.

Is he Jealous he doesn't own a turkey call that can command that kind of money ?

If Domnie put all his box calls in one pile and sold them as a unit could they command that kind of money ?

I'm sure not running adds over here bragging about my calls or who I am.

Some callmakers see this call selling for this kind of money and they're jealous and full of hate because of it....(not all....but all it takes is one with jealusy and hate to spread the lies).


Then there she the call flippers that get on my list wait a year or so to get a call then flip the call for double their money....most eventually get caught, cut off and then they hate me.

Need a spot on my list....out a call flipper and you get his spot

Last but not least are the turkey call promoters/speculators....Old Gobbler is full of them.....promoting people buying up a bunch of their calls then finding out theyre not what they thought in terms of sound and won't bring what they paid for them when they decide to part with them.

Most guys would do better to stick with store bought calls.

Just to blow your mind a little more, most people that own one aren’t interested in selling, even for that price.

I reckon it's a good thing those sort of people exist, otherwise Luther would be hangin out at the truck stop giving blow jobs at a quarter a pop to survive.

Mine doesn’t have a price tag because not only is it a damn fine hunting call, making a few dollars off someone else’s work isn’t worth the cost of losing a friendship. Apparently that’s a foreign concept to some people who do it and in turn also try to portray Frank as the bad guy when he stands up for himself and calls them out.

Chromium triozide....it was used on vintage maple rifle stocks.

The true, old time craftsmen used a piece of rusted wrought iron and a fairly strong nitric acid treatment. Then worked the wood surface with a torch or other heat source. Gave the very same end result...........without the brain damage associated with very hazardous chemicals.

I took a pic with my foot on a skunks neck one time....never shot me a Yoder.

I got a lot of mileage out of that dead skunk photo I took it special for a hOt shot internet turkey hunter that got hiz azz skunked that year.....

I dropped the turkey I was toting and chased that skunk 50 yards to get the shot my buddy thought I was crAzy....after I shot it my buddy came walking up I said hold my gun while I get a picture.

I don't hunt with skunks.
