For this schitt.

60 hours this week, 72 hours next, and most likely 72 hours the next.

Sounds like a first world problem?????

The duty is easy, the pay is great and in eight months, I will be out of here.

Been working long hours running restaurant kitchens over 30 years now. I can’t do 60 hour weeks anymore. 55 and I’m pretty much spent, anymore. 70 - forget that. In my thirties I could.

No, not a company man. I am a working stiff.

But this 3 weeks, the job is a confined space entry. As the old man, I pull attendant duty.

Any chance with the ladies down in the Miscellaneous (Classy conversation and good women Vol. 2) thread. I can't even get a smile in a gay bar.

I did 60 hours a week for the last six years I worked, damn sure a grind, but it helped my retirement big time. It’s as much as I was getting on 40 hours. Is that why you are putting in so many hours?

I worked enough in my child years... and then more in my years raising my children. Work what you must but remember no one goes to the grave wishing for just one more day of work. Good luck to you

Worked 12s for the last 30 yrs of my working life. In the last couple yrs I worked 60 with a bum hip. We do what we have to do. After the hip replacement I didn't go back. All just bad memories now.

Will turn 64 next month and I will work until 67. My wife who is 5 year’s younger will retire at the end of the school year next spring. This is what happens when you have your last child in your early 40’s.
My wife is a lousy goalie ;-)

I'm in my second year of retirement. I wake up every morning and I'm so thankful I can get up and do whatever I want. The novelty of not having to work has not even begun to wear off. I hope the 8 months you have left goes quickly for you. Then the fun begins!!

I am putting in the hours because we have a job that needs done and a limited amount of time to get it done.

My Social Security and company pension equal $1000/month more than my present wage. I have no car, mortgage, rent, or toy payments. I am very comfortable with my expected retirement income. If the Demos don't deflate it to five cents on the dollar.
