Any one used the services of The Hackberry Rod and Gun Club, Hackberry Louisiana for waterfowl hunting?
I am thinking about taking my daughter over for a couple of days prior to Thanksgiving.
Any observations would be appreciated.

I fished for specs with them some years back and they had a good operation. I have never used them for duck hunting, but they are in a very good area, and I would think they will perform as advertised. However, as you are well aware, we are having some very unseasonably warm and dry weather right now and if that does not change the ducks may not be there in the normal numbers by the time you are planning on hunting.

True, but there is always fishing and it would be a nice chance to get out of town.
Thanks for the note.

Trip Report:
November 19th was clear and hot. Five ducks in the morning, two limits of speckled trout and a few Red Fish.
November 20th with an early morning frontal passage was great duck hunting, limits plus one goose by 10:00 AM. Fine, large, gulf shrimp to be had just north of the Hackberry bridge.
Accomodations, food and guides were excellent. They were especially good with my daughter on her first hunting trip. She keeps reminding me that she got the most ducks and the first Red Fish on day one.
I'll use Hackberry Rod and Gun again, the only question now is this year or next.
What a trip!
