mfg he believes he purchased in 1980 Marlin 375s in 375 win he has the orig box and one box of ammo waiting on pics what would be the going rate for it rough idea I am pretty certain his asking price is a bargain but wanna be certain
I have a 375 win in a savage 99 so I have brass dies etc also own a 336 in 35 JM stamped so wouldn't mind adding another 336 to the collection
Appreciate any info Thanks everyone

I edited the post on info guy from store who called me told me it was a 336 and it is a 375s he believes he purchased it in 1983 or 1984 I have the serial number going to see if I can google date of mfg

I’d say it’s $900 to $1100 range. Box adds value, now the condition obviously sets the real value. Marlin made the 375 with and without the cross bolt safety. This one has the cross bolt safety, that is why it is a 375S. In 1983 Marlin made all levers with Cross Bolt Safety’s, I could be wrong, might be 1982, I’d have to look in my book.

Just checked completed auctions on GB and six sold for $1100-1375. As always condition matters. Great cartridge!

Nice. I almost bought a real nice one last year for $600. I came here to ask how much it was worth and did some research, went back to the store and a smarter shopper ended up buying it before I got there. Now I know.. It was pretty stupid on my part as well, since I already load for one, since I have a pretty nice big bore 94.

No flies on a 375. Killed my biggest bear with one from 75 yards, one shot to the neck.

Noting this Threads as mainstream over two months old and late comer over month! For me.... Good threads like good wine. Some bit of "vintage factor and then not guzzling after uncorking, 'it' to breathe. Also, no straws! smile This about a Marlin .375, a worthy Thread!

Just to add my general perception as speaking about "collectible" as first context and shooter second. 1980 was about the end of the "pre safety Marlin 336 Models and 'all else equal' I consider such a substantial % greater value; perhaps 30-40% For shooter, toss up???
Just my take.
