Beauty. Dad had a 4430 as I was growing up in NE. I remember grinding from A,B,C,D from time to time as I wasn't patient enough. Cut my tractor teeth on a 4020. The cab on the 4430 was a blessing as long as the air conditioner worked!

Neighbor had a "B" ,we had a Farmall H. Lot of serious conversations of which was better. I hated both with those tricycle front wheels. Like to bust your wrist when running a disc over the first time on plowed fields or hit a ground hog hole when cutting hay

If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles

I just purchased one that looks exactly like yours except I bought an old man step and installed it after the first time I climbed into cab on it! At 63 with a bum knee I found I didn't like to step that high. I love it! I have never had a tractor as big as this and try to find things to do with it just to operate it on my land building roads, bush hogging food plots, and plowing fields.

I currently have a 4020, along with a Massey Ferguson 150. Both diesel. I have front end loaders for both, although the one for the Massey is not on at this time. I do need to fix another step on the 4020, as it is getting harder to get on as time passes. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

I actually grew up on as many or more red tractors. Spent most of my hours on an 806 most impressive was a 1566. Sold the 1566 after my dad died 5 years or so ago. There's been a picture of it on here several years ago. Had 1242 original ours. But no AC (never had) and them old IH cabs were LOUD ..

It took some help, but I found a picture of the 4430 we had on the farm. Open, fresh air style. Did a lot of work for us but Dad traded in on a JD 6400.

Cabs on them sure are quieter roomier than the old soundgard

(A lot of farm ground is on a sidehill).

It is still working after an overhaul and paint job done by the local technical college.

(A lot of farm ground is on a sidehill). A lot of people don't comprehend you're actually safer in a proper cab IF you are seat belted in if you're not there could be some questionable to that . I myself never wear seat belt in an AG tractor . The dozer, track loader and excavator I do all the time. Namely it's easier to stay properly placed in the seed on rough ground. And I'm routinely doing stuff that would make any sane man check himself in the mental ward

This is a cool thread with some great pictures. I was doing the same thing this weekend on the family farm. We had a 4430, a 4010, and a 3010 all out running at the same time putting up rounds - I should have taken some pics. On that farm, we have two 4430's, a 4010, a 3010, a Model A and a Model B. I live on a small farm at my house and have a late model New Holland that is a comfortable tractor, but there is something about the old, green iron.

I still consider the 4020 and 3020 and even the 2010, which I grew up with as being modern and practically brand new. We never had a cab on our tractors, in Alaska!
