I am putting together a 45 LC on a Stainless Blackhawk. Was considering a 3 MOA reflex sight.
Comments, recommendations, thoughts?

That's what I use. It's a Burris Fast Fire 3 MOA. I keep the distance under 75 yards, works great.

Comments, recommendations, thoughts? I think a Blackhawk chambered in 45LC with a reflex sight would be the bees knees for shooting schit out to 100yds. Why do you consider a 3MOA size dot? What your budget?

I have a RM06 on a glock 17 and really like the 3.25 moa dot but only use it 50 yds and in as a range toy!

Well it seems most of the reflexives are either 3 or 6 moa and I want the finer aiming point. Under $300

I wouldn't mind the 6 moa dot.
I'd zero at 50 yards using the top-center of the dot as aiming point. For average pistol loads, you will get around 6 moa drop at 100, give or take. So the bottom of the 6 moa dot would be a useful 100 yard aiming reference.
Also, a 6 moa dot would cover approx 1/3 of a deer torso at 100. So you have a rudimentary tool for quick range estimation.

I just got a Holosun HE507K-GR-X2 Compact green dot sight from EuroOptics out the door for $285(with veterans/L.E. discount). The red dot ones are about $30 cheaper than green. This model has a 2 MOA dot or a 32 MOA circle or both together. I haven’t had time to shoot it much, but really like it so far.

Doc, I put a 507c green reticle on a .22 rifle and love it. Use the circle/dot for general shooting and just the dot on paper. Can shoot groups nearly as good as with a 4x scope using the dot only. Might try just the circle for close range shooting.

I have a 3 moa Burris Fastfire on my S&W 460……3” to 3 1/2” groups @ 100 yards from the bench! memtb

I'd take a look at the Sightron that Doug is blowing out at $200. Japanese made. I bought one when he last listed them at that price but have not mounted it. It appears to be a quality piece.

Burris fast fire is a pretty good little sight for about$200 bucks.
I've got a 3 moa dot model on a 22/45 and really like it
