out of spending $500.00 for a fancy annealing rig!

Battery powered screwdriver of $24.00 rotates the case and it works like a champ!!

Maybe so, but you get the same results.

You fellows are akin to a guy that buys a new truck and turns out to be a lemon but he swears its best thing since sliced bread! You’re trying to justify your $$$$! I’ve used both systems and haven’t been doing it but for 60 years! Go head and buy your merry go round!!

It just depends on how much your time is worth. Saving time in the reloading process is usually a good investment.

I can't see how that could give you any consistency between cases.

I'm just asking, don't flame me! LOL

If you held it the same distance from the flame for the same length of time wouldn't it be pretty consistent? With variations in brass I could see the results varying, but wouldn't that be true of any system?

Like saying a bicycle pump is as good as an air compressor. It may get the job done but their are better and easier ways to do it.

I too wondered about all the variables that could cause inconsistencies, but a Tempilstick might help. Maybe that's temp indicating paste in the neck?

But suddenly remembered some of the pics I've seen of Sharpsmans long range groups & quit wondering if there's anything he's doing wrong in that discipline.

I just hold the cases in my fingers and give them a rotation or so. By then it's done. Running them into the resizilng die you can feel the brass has softened.

No, it's not going to be as consistent as the fancy machine, but it works just fine.

I had been using a candle for a long time. Now that is kind of tedious. The torch puts the heat into that brass very quickly.

I use a Tempilstick also and if one can COUNT....my system works outstandingly well! And if you trim cases to length....you'll understand just exactly how well it works....rather than trying to trim work-hardened brass!!

I'm sure it works well. Just modify your method to the driver in a vise with a socket. Much faster.
