MontanaMarine’s thread got me digging mine out. I have a metric ton of ammo from over the years so time to put some rounds down range Sunday. Ordered an ALG trigger and it arrived today. 30 min of cursing and it was installed. Can’t overstate how big of a difference it made. Mine: Norinco MAK90 with ACE stock, magpul hand guard and grip, magpul mag, ALG trigger. I bought two at Roses Dept. store, I was 18. I think they were $399. Sold one still in the box maybe 10 years ago to an uncle. I bought a couple Norinco SKS around the same time for $69.99.

Here's a pic of my new PSA GF5. I replaced the slant brake with the brake up front.

Enjoying the pics ! My low rent Romanian SAR-1 By the way I highly recommend the metal Bulgarian Magazines. I have used those for over 20 years. I've read the Bulgarian polymer mags are even better in some respects.

Here's a Norinco circa 1987 or so. I bought it before CA went nuts...walked out of the gun shop in the hood (San Leandro, a few blocks from the real hood in Oakland) within a half hour of walking in, a case of Soviet ammo at my side as well. The good days....

Sounds like Traders sports The one and only... Funny thing is that while it had a reputation for catering to the darker side, the guys at the counter were not shy about telling the obvious gang members that they were out of stock of whatever they were asking to buy. When I bought the AK, a group of the fine young men of the Seminary crew wanted to buy an Uzi. They were told they're out of stock, even though there was maybe half dozen on display. When they then said they wanted an AK, same answer...and they pointed at me and asked how I was able to buy one. "Last one we had, sorry guys" was the answer. There were at least a dozen on display...these days, the store would have been sued for discrimination.

Nice AK's. Patton said the M1 Garand was the greatest battle rifle. Maybe, but, the AK47 would have to be pretty damn close.
Why do I have to press 1, for English?
