Highway 90 starts going through the Medina Valley right at 1604 and Lackland’s “Medina Base” and you could call anything west or south of it “the valley”. https://www.mvisd.com/If the Border Patrol puts check points up and crops are grown, I call it “The Valley” regardless. I will say there ain’t a damn thing I wanna see on 90 from 1604 in San Antonio to Van Horn except more Border Patrol ! Crossing the river in Big Bend to Boquillas is a must, but otherwise, yeah, why would I go to Big Bend when there’s New Mexico?

Thats on 16 the start of Hill Country In another lifetime, Hwy 16 on a motorcycle to the OST in Bandera for breakfast was about every other weekend. Did it so many times I’m pretty sure I could ride from there thru Medina then all the way over to Leakey blindfolded. It

I guess anything is worth a look once Birdwatcher. These days I limit my visits to places that change my latitude and attitude. I like to enjoy it if I go to the trouble.
