I still have plenty of powder. But I’m almost out of power pistol. My Wilson ACP in 9m/m loves it. So the first I’ve seen became available from Natchez. So I broke down and ordered some. When your paying hazmat and shipping anyway, you should stock up. So I did. Picked up BE and 231. Would have got a little accurate 5 but they were out.

despite low and sporadic supply, if you pay attention and keep looking, you can find most of what you need. The other day I was able to score H335 and H110

PV and Midway have had A#5 here and there of late. I snagged a couple pounds from PV for my Dad 2-3 months ago when I was ordering some CFE Pistol for myself.

I’ve seen accurate 5 several places. I was being a little greedy. Wanted to pay hazmat fees only once on order. Lucky I picked up two of the three I wanted . Hasbeen

I hear that. I picked up a lot of stuff as I could find it the past 6 months or so, and that hazmat adds up to hurting in a hurry when you have to make a bunch of separate orders to get what you're looking for. 😬

When you think....one pound of pistol powder will net 1000-1200 rds (small caliber rds)

4 & 8# jugs go a long way

Been looking for 231, Powder Valley has had 1 pounders continuously in stock for quite a while but like y'all, I wasn't going to pay $20 hazmat for two or three pounds of powder. They've also had Starline .38 Special brass continuously in stock during all that time, but just wasn't worth it for the 300 cases I wanted.

Saw the other day that they had 8 pound jugs of Ramshot TAC in stock and that tripped the trigger. Got one jug of TAC, two pounds of 231 (which will load a lot of rounds) and 300 pieces of .38 brass.

The TAC was just over $27/lb by itself - that's only 2-3 bucks over pre-covid SHTF prices of three years ago. Apportioning shipping and hazmat for everything it still comes in at just a bit over $31/lb.

So take that, you effin' gunshow gougers wanting $60-$75 per pound of powder... smirk

Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery.
